Ankara Anatolia news agency (23.08.11) reported from the occupied part of Lefkosia that the Turkish and Greek Cypriot leaders met on Tuesday in an intensified round of their talks to reunify the divided Mediterranean island.
Eroglu told reporters after the five-and-a-half-hour meeting at island’s UN-controlled buffer zone that during yesterday’s meeting they discussed governance and power-sharing as well as oil and natural gas exploration in the eastern Mediterranean. Eroglu said they were set to meet again on Friday, adding that the two leaders had agreed to hold an out-of-schedule meeting on September 14.
