Rauf Denktas suffered a brain haemorrhage and he will be operated today

Turkish Cypriot daily Haberdar newspaper (24.08.11) reports that Rauf Denktas, former Turkish Cypriot leader, suffered a brain haemorrhage and he will be operated today. Denktas receives treatment at the Gulhane Military Medical Academy.Speaking to Kibris (24.08.11) on his father health, leader of the Democratic Party (DP), Serdar Denktas said that the condition of Rauf Denktas’ health is serious; however he would not call it “brain haemorrhage”, but “brain congestion”. He said that he believes the operation to be successful.
