All the necessary arrangements in order to continue the power supply from the occupied areas of Cyprus will be made, President of Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Manthos Mavromatis has stated.

In statements to CNA, Mavromatis said that the duration of the contract with the private company in the occupied areas has not yet been agreed. He explained that the duration will depend on the needs of the Republic of Cyprus for electricity during the next months.

He also said that an agreement for electricity supply will be signed by the end of August, since the current agreement expires on August 31, 2011.

Replying to a question, Mavromatis said that there have been consultations with the private company but the final contract will be signed by the end of August
