THE SIGHT of a Cyprus Airways (CY) aircraft touching down or taking off from Paphos International airport will become an even rarer sight, even non-existent, during the coming winter season.
According to the schedule, there will be no CY aircraft touching down or taking off between November 25 and February 17, 2012.
The national carrier has recently slashed flights across the board, with Paphos coming out worst off from the islands two main airports.
The airline announced cuts to flights to and from popular destinations such as Thessaloniki, Amsterdam and Heathrow – which will cease on October 29. No decision has yet been taken to reinstate the route in time for the next summer season.
