A great win for Apoel in the second leg of the third qualifying round to defeat Slovan Bratislava 2-0 away in Slovakia giving them a aggregate win by the same score after the previous game between the two teams ended goaless. A great all round performance from Apoel. Their goals came in the 57^th minute from Ailton Almeida and in added time from Manduca . The Slovakians had a player Grentel sent off in the 61^st minute. Apoel now only have to wait till Friday to find out who they are playing in the next round of the UEFA Champions League the qualifying play offs which will take place in Nyon , Switzerland.
