TWO FIRES broke out in the Famagusta area on Wednesday evening, causing extensive damage.

The blaze that broke out at the Rusta Flurry pub in Ayia Napa, according to police destroyed amplifiers and audio consoles. The cost of the damage has not yet been calculated.

Police said that initial investigations show that the pub was not broken into.

The second fire started around 10pm in a field, belonging to Hambis Yiakoumis, in the Frenaros area. It destroyed 75 bales of hay.
