Hotel occupancy rate in Cyprus during high season reaches in many cases up to 100%, Director General of the Cyprus Hotel Association Zacharias Ioannides told CNA.
Moreover, Ioannides said that the Russian market continues to gain more ground in Cyprus’ tourism, with arrivals in July from Russia showing an increase of 62%, compared to the same month last year.
The high occupancy rate of hotels and tourism accommodation applies in all of Cyprus’ districts, Ioannides added, in both coastal and mountain resorts.
He said that the overall outlook for this summer also appears to be more positive than a year before, due to the increase recorded in foreign tourist arrivals, as well as due to the boost in domestic tourism.
