The Minister of Foreign Affairs Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis will travel to Israel Wednesday for contacts.

According to an official announcement, Marcoullis will be received by the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of the country, Shimon Peres.

During her visit, Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis will hold talks with her Israeli counterpart Avigdor Liberman, during which bilateral as well as regional and international issues of common concern will be discussed.

Particular emphasis will be placed on co-operation between Cyprus and Israel in energy issues, and the recent developments in the wider region. The two Ministers will also discuss the Middle East Peace Process. Furthermore, Marcoullis will brief the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs on the latest developments regarding the Cyprus problem.
