A COCKFOSTERS pupil has won a national competition to design the ideal school PE kit.

Nathalia Socratous, seven, from Trent Church of England Primary School, in Church Way, Chalk Lane, beat hundreds of hopefuls to win the Nivea Sun contest.

Nathalia designed the kit for Nivea Sun ambassadors The Sunwise Set and won £500 worth of sports equipment for her school.

The Sunwise Set will visit the school tomorrow to put on a special show for the pupils, filled with games, prizes and safer sun messages.

Cheryl Pearce, Year 2 teacher, said: “We have entered the competition for the past two years because it’s such a nice way to learn about the physical, social and health parts of the curriculum.

“The contest ties in nicely with the children’s studies and is a fun way for the children to learn about health and safety, and being careful in the sun.

“Well done to Nathalia. It was a very nice drawing.”
