Description

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Bounds Green in which a 30 year-old man received stab injuries.

The incident took place in Bounds Green Road, near Park Avenue N22, at about 07.20hrs today, Tuesday 26 July 2011.

The victim had been walking along Bounds Green Road towards High Road when he was approached by the suspect who asked what he had in his bag.

He showed him the contents and was stabbed several times by the suspect, who made off when members of the public intervened.

Police and London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended and the victim was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The Metropolitan Police’s Air Support Unit and Dog Unit also attended to search the area.

There have been no arrests at this time.

The suspect is described as being a black man aged in his 30s, about 5ft 10inches tall, with short black hair, wearing a red jacket and dark trousers.
