President Christofias visited the Hungarian embassy in Nicosia this morning and signed the book of condolences.

“On behalf of the government and the people of Cyprus, as well as on my own behalf, I express our feelings of deep sorrow for the passing away of Dr. Ferenc Madl, former President of the Republic of Hungary and a distinguished Hungarian politician and scientist”, he states.

President Christofias also notes that “at this moment of mourning I extend our most sincere condolences to his bereaved family, as well as to the government and the friendly people of Hungary for their immense national loss”.
