| President of the Republic Demetris Christofias will meet Friday with the newly elected President of the House of Representatives, President of the Social Democrats Movement EDEK, Giannakis Omirou, at the Presidential Palace.
Christofias and Omirou had a short meeting on Thursday afternoon during a reception hosted by the Italian Ambassador Alfredo Bastianelli, on the occasion of the National Day of Italy, held at the Italian Embassy in Nicosia. In statements to CNA, on his departure, President Christofias warmly and cordially congratulated Omirou upon his election as President of the House of Representatives, adding that he will meet with him today. |
