By way of background, the KOPA football league in the UK approached KOA the Cypriot Sports Organisation in Cyprus to discuss Youth development and both decided to pull together the two representative sides to play against high profile teams of similar age groups in Cyprus and the UK in the next six months. This is a very exciting initiative which we would encourage as many people as possible to become involved in.
KOPA has set up a sub committee to co-ordinate this exciting initiative consisting of existing KOPA members Michael Yiakoumi, Michalakis Michael, Kokos Georgiou plus Tony Antoniou, Kypros Kyprianou and Mario Michael who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in Youth Football and have been co-opted to develop and bring a successful outcome to this initiative.
If you are a player or know of any players who would be eligible (next season’s U16s & U18s age groups) and would like to be advised of the next trials, please contact Michael Yiakoumi on Tel: 07958 207412
