Reportedly, Erdogan to visit occupied Cyprus on the anniversary of the Turkish invasion to the island

Turkish Cypriot daily Havadis (17.06.11) carries a commentary regarding the recent parliamentary elections in Turkey and the relations between Turkey and the occupation regime. The paper, inter alia, reports that it is being discussed that the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a three-day visit to the occupied area of the Republic of Cyprus on the occasion of the anniversary of the July 20 Turkish invasion to Cyprus. According to the paper, Erdogan will visit the occupied area in order to attend the celebrations of the breakaway regime.

Meanwhile, Turkish daily Sabah (17.06.11) reports on the trips of Erdogan after the June 12 general elections. According to the paper, after his landslide victory on last Sunday’s elections, Erdogan is to make his first trip abroad to Egypt. Erdogan is expected to give messages to Egyptians and other nations to encourage them in their democratic drive.
