A 42 year-old suffered first degree burns and was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital when he tried to rescue his parents from their home. The fire department announced they sent fire engines just after midnight to Kambia who extinguished the fire to the pre fabricated house.

It was a busy day for the fire service earlier they had to also extinguish a fire when a car caught a light on the Nicosia – Larnaca highway . Also an apartment in Zygi caught fire also causing serious damage.
