Cyprus has so far won 29 medals in the 14th Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE), which are being held in Liechtenstein, from May 30 to June 4.

The Cypriot team has secured twelve gold, eleven silver and six bronze medals. Of the gold medals, ten were won in athletics, three in swimming, one in table tennis and one in shooting.

In athletics, with gold medals were awarded Panagiotis Ioannou in 100 m. running, with a time of 10.6 sec and Anna Ramona Papaioannou with 11.86 sec. Nikandros Stylianou came first in pole vault, with a result of 5 m., Meropi Papnagiotou in 800 m. running, with a time of 2:10,52 and Zacharias Arnos in triple jump with 15.98 m.

The three gold medals in swimming were won by Maria Papadopoulou and Alexandros Bakhtiarov in 100 m. butterfly, and Anna Styliannou in 400 m free style. The remaining two gold medals were secured by the Cypriot team in table tennis and Eirini Panteli in Air Pistol
