Foreign Minister Marcos Kyprianou will represent Cyprus at the 10th Asia- Europe Meeting (ASEM) on “Cooperation in addressing non- traditional challenges in security issues”, to take place on 6th and 7th of June, in Budapest.

According to an official press release issued here today, during the meeting, Foreign Ministers will have the opportunity to discuss security issues, which substantially affect the stability and prosperity of countries in Europe and Asia.

The Minister’s meeting is expected to review the three pillars of the Asia-Europe cooperation and examine the relationship between ASEM and civil society.

They will also discuss, among others, global financial crisis and other regional and global issues of mutual interest such as security of energy supply, sustainable development, climate change, tackling terrorism and organized crime, the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and illegal immigration.
