US Ambassador to Cyprus Frank Urbancic presented on Friday Dr. Philippos Patsalis with an award of the Department of State Office of Alumni Affairs.

Speaking during the award ceremony, here today, Urbancic said that Patsalis` discovery of a non-invasive test for Down Syndrome has received worldwide recognition as a milestone in maternal health.

He said that Patsalis` discovery, which promises to benefit perspective parents around the world, exemplifies how that process can result in outcomes that have a truly global impact, far beyond the borders of our two countries.
