A private car was set on fire in the early hours of Monday while parked in an empty lot opposite the owner’s house in the Larnaca district.

The 47-year-old owner managed to put out the blaze by using a fire extinguisher.

According to a police spokesman, inflammable materials were used to torch the vehicle, which sustained damages.

The incident is being investigated by Kiti police station.
