Victory at Olympia For the Evangelou Brothers

Professional boxing brothers the Evangelou brothers won their fights at the big Saturday Night Boxing Show at Kensington’s Olympia.

Last night  Chris “The Flash” and Andreas “The Ace” were boxing on the undercard of Darren Barker’s successful challenge for the European Title.

Chris appeared first, giving another assured performance over four rounds. The Flash’s tremendous technique and speed left his opponent Ibrar Riyaz chasing shadows, leaving him unable to compete with the variety and speed of Evangelou’s punch combinations. The judges scored every round to The Flash, giving him a record of 7 wins from 7 bouts.

Andreas ended the evening’s boxing in spectacular fashion stopping his opponent Jamie Norkett in the second round of a scheduled four round contest. In only his second bout The Ace made a strong impression in the first round hurting his vastly more experienced opponent with hard blows to the body. In the second round his opponent was floored receiving an eight count from the referee but The Ace was not finished and he followed up with a sustained and relentless barrage of punches forcing the referee to stop the bout. So that’s two out of two for The Ace.

Chris Evangelou’s fight will be shown on TV on Thursday May the 5th on the programme Ringside on Sky Sports One (Sky Channel 408) at 6pm then repeated at 10.30pm.
