A post mortem examination into the sudden death of a high-ranking member of the fire services who collapsed on Monday is set to take place on Tuesday.
According to the report, Polykarpos Yiorkadji lost consciousness while taking part in a basketball game at Pallouriotissa Lyceum.
Efforts to revive him were futile and he was taken to Nicosia General Hospital where he died at around 11pm.
