Reaction from the Cyprus Government to the interview by Archbishop Chrysostomos on TV to his reference that Cyprus tricked the Europeans into joining the European Union.

The Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou said that such statements could only damage the Cyprus issue this was also backed by the Leader of Akel Andros Kyprianou and Leader of Disy Nicos Anastasiades.
