AN ARMED robbery took place yesterday just after midnight at a bakery in Limassol but the thief escaped with only €140.

According to police, the thief, who had his face covered entered the bakery and threatened the 43-year-old employee with a revolver. After extorting €140 from the employee he fled the scene on foot.

The thief is described as around 1,80cm in height, slim build and during the time of the robbery was wearing black trousers, a white jacket and a jockey cap.
