Cypriots’ trips abroad marked a decrease in March 2011 compared to the corresponding month last year.
According to the Statistical Service, on the basis of the results of a recent Passengers Survey, 80,388 Cypriot residents returned from trips abroad in March 2011 compared to 105.805 in the corresponding month last year, recording a decrease of 24.0%.
In March 2011 there was a decrease of 36.7% in the trips of residents to Greece (24,457 in March 2011 compared to 38,664 in March 2010) and 36.5% decrease to the United Kingdom (20,127 compared to 31,681 last year).
