Death Announcement

Nicholas Simon

His date of birth was 26/11/30 and passed away on 13th February 2021.

“It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Nicholas Simon who fell asleep after a very short illness at the age of 90. Nicholas was from the Symeou family in Styllous, Famagusta, arriving in London in 1951. He married Panayiota where they lived in Holloway until 1962 when they then moved to Kingsbury to raise their family. Nicholas worked as a car mechanic in Hendon, then moved onto the Metropolitan Police in Finchley until his retirement. He loved to visit new places, had a great sense of humour, was very hospitable and very loving to everyone. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him, especially his wife Panayiota, children Simos, Photoulla, Androulla, his daughter in law Maria, son in laws George, Andreas, grandchildren Loukas, Nicky, Costas, Stephanie, Michael, Nicholas, Panayiotis, Emily, Evy, Pamela and great grandchildren Sebastian and Elias. The funeral took place at St. Charalambos in Luton on Saturday, 20th February 2021 and the burial at The Vale in Luton.”

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε το θάνατο του αγαπημένου μας συζύγου, πατέρα, παππού και προπάππου Νικολάου Σίμον που απεβίωσε μετά από μια πολύ σύντομη ασθένεια στην ηλικία των 90. Ο Νίκολας ήταν από την οικογένεια Συμεού από Στύλλους της Αμμοχώστου και ήρθε στο Λονδίνο το 1951. Παντρεύτηκε την Παναγιώτα και ζούσαν στο Holloway μέχρι το 1962. Ακολούθως μετακόμισαν στο Kingsbury για να μεγαλώσουν την οικογένειά τους. Ο Νίκολας εργάστηκε ως μηχανικός αυτοκινήτων στο Hendon και μετά εργοδοτήθηκε από τη Μητροπολιτική Αστυνομία στο Finchley μέχρι τη συνταξιοδότησή του. Του άρεσε πολύ να επισκέπτεται νέα μέρη, είχε πολύ καλό χιούμορ, ήταν πολύ φιλόξενος και αγαπητός σε όλους. Θα λείψει πολύ σε όλους όσοι τον γνώριζαν, ειδικά στην σύζυγο του Παναγιώτα, τα παιδιά Σίμο, Φωτούλα, Ανδρούλλα, νύφη Μαρία, στους γαμπρούδες Γιώργο, Ανδρέας, τα εγγόνια Λουκά, Νίκο, Κώστα, Στεφάνι, Μιχάλη, Νικόλα, Παναγιώτη, Έμιλι, Εύη Παμέλα και δισεγγόνια Σεπάστιαν και Ηλία. Η κηδεία έγινε στον Άγιο Χαράλαμπο στο Luton το Σάββατο, 20 Φεβρουαρίου 2021 και την ταφή στο The Vale, Luton. ”
