Omonia are solidifying their position at the top of the table after beating Apoel in the Nicosia derby 1-0 with their goal coming as early as the 8th minute from Assante. Omonia missed several chances to increase their lead and are now unbeaten in 16 games.

In Friday’s game Nea Salamina beat bottom of the table Karmiotissa 4-0 with three of the goals from penalties the goal scorers were two each from De Oliveira and Wagner.

Olympiakos are cementing a top six spot by beating AEK Larnaca 1-0 their goal coming from Mantzis in the 19th minute.

Anorthosis beat Doxa 1-0 with a 5th minute goal from Hambardzumyan.

AEL kept their Championship chances intact by beating Ethnikos Achna 2-1 with two goals from Bunoza and Adamovic and Ethnikos goal came from Dolezal a penalty.

Apollon struggled on Sunday to keep up with the leaders but eventually came through to beat Enosis Neon Paralimniou 2-1 in a very close match, Apollon took the lead in 69th minute through Guerrier and Juan Felipe equalised for Paralimni in the 79th minute through a penalty and Apollon regained the lead in the 82nd minute with a Benschop penalty which was to be the winning goal and Leave Apollon in third place.
