UK Cypriot Mathaeus Matty Roberts has signed for Arsenal, the 15 year old’s mother Angie Roberts maiden name Kalou is from Akanthou, Cyprus. The talented midfielder has been offered a scholarship by Arsenal where he will head to the first team training ground next year to embark on his football career full time.

Scouted at the age of four when playing for Potters Bar Crusaders, he joined the Arsenal academy thereafter signing his first official contract at eight. After suffering a set back with an injury lasting a year aged 14, he has worked hard to regain his fitness and recoup to secure his place as a scholar.
