The Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday 181 new coronavirus cases out of 3,589 laboratory tests.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the total number of positive cases rises to 3,817.
 
There are 24 patients being treated at the Famagusta General Hospital, four of whom in the advanced care unit, while in the Nicosia General Hospital three patients are being treated in the intensive care unit and four others in the COVID-19 ward.

A total of 48 of today`s positive cases were found out of 392 samples taken after contact tracing of confirmed cases, 113 out of 1,813 samples taken upon private initiative, 8 out of 187 tests carried out in the Microbiology Laboratories of the General Hospitals, 7 out of 193 samples taken after GP referrals and 5 out  of 891 tests done at airports. 

Meanwhile, no positive cases were detected out of 5 laboratory tests carried out at football clubs, and 108 samples taken at schools.
