Cyprus police reported 22 citizens and 5 premises’ owners for violations of measures in place to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. The spike in the violations by citizens is due to gatherings in Larnaca, in the southern coast of the island, where 18 of the total 22 citizens were reported.

A police spokesman told CNA that in the last 24 hours that ended on 06:00 local time, the police carried out a total of 459 checks.
