On 4th July, Selfridges will reopen many of its restaurants and hair salons across its four UK stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester, warmly welcoming visitors and team members safely back to its dining and hair styling destinations with extra health and safety precautions in place throughout.

Of note, Selfridges will reopen several of its much-loved London restaurant destinations for pre-booked or walk-in dine-in service, including Brasserie of Light, Aubaine, Tonkotsu, The Corner Restaurant and Brass Rail. San Carlo will also reopen all its Selfridges locations, including alto in London, Fumo and Gran Café in Birmingham and Bottega and Gran Café in Manchester. A selection of salon services will also reopen in all Selfridges locations, including Daniel Galvin, Acqua di Parma, Hershesons Blow Dry Bar and The Braid Bar in London and Andrew Collinge in Manchester Trafford. Daniel Galvin and Acqua di Parma will offer a reduced, hair-only salon menu in accordance with current government guidelines, with remaining services to be reintroduced at a later date. Instore beauty services, including massage, nails, make-up application and facial treatments will not be available yet. The health, safety and wellbeing of customers and teams remains Selfridges’ priority. Carefully considered safety measures will be in place to help minimise the risk of coronavirus, in line with guidance from PHE and relevant authorities. All seating areas within each store’s salons, bars and restaurants have been reconfigured to maintain social distancing at 2m where possible, and screens have been introduced where 2m is not viable. Waiting staff will provide table service with app based or disposable menus. Customers will also have the option of ordering food to take away.

Across these services, safety measures will be put in place to ensure customers feel safe and secure. In its restaurants, these include:
Seating areas in all restaurants and bars have been reconfigured to maintain social distancing at 2m. Where this is not possible, for example in our bar areas, screens have been installed
In bar areas, countertop screens will be in place, along with moveable screens for positioning in between customers
Staff will provide table service, facilitating minimal contact with customers
Menus will be one-use and made from fully recyclable materials
Hand sanitiser stations have been installed throughout stores
Customers will be encouraged to make contactless payments if possible
Clear signage will be in place throughout all restaurants and bars
All team members handling or preparing food and drink will be required to wear face masks or visors
In line with Government guidelines, Selfridges will securely retain customers details for 21 days to assist the NHS Test and Trace scheme

While in its hair salons, Selfridges will implement safety measures including:
Screens will be installed between customers at our salons and blow dry bars
Complimentary face coverings provided for customers on their arrival at the salon
Face coverings have been made available to all team members and the wearing of a covering is encouraged
Gowns and towels will be used for one customer appointment only and laundered at a temperature of 60 degrees after each use
All stations and tools will be cleaned before and after each client, with appointments timed to allow and facilitate additional cleaning time
Closure of cloakrooms and removal of magazines to minimise the risk of transfer
Reduced salon capacity to support 2 metre social distancing
Customers will be asked to pay by card wherever possible
Refreshments will not be served onsite, though customers may bring their own beverages to their appointment
In line with Government guidelines, Selfridges will securely retain customers details for 21 days to assist the NHS Test and Trace scheme
