Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a new yellow warning for extreme high temperature from 1300 until 1700 local time on Monday.
 
The warning said the maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 40 degrees Celsius inland.
 
The Department notes that some health risks amongst vulnerable people, such as the elderly and very young people, are possible.
