Cypriot-Australian poet, writer, actress and performer Koraly Dimitriadis has been awarded a grant by Creative Victoria.

Ms Dimitriadis will be using her $5,000 grant for “creative development and publication of poetic short films exploring isolation, relationships, family and feminism”.

Her project will also feature a coronavirus response poem to her poem Varkoume na daraxo which was filmed in Cyprus as part of a funded trip by the Cypriot government.

Ms Dimitriadis’ grant is part of the state government body’s ‘Sustaining Creative Workers’ initiative, which seeks to support the continued work of Victoria’s independent creative practitioners who have been negatively impacted by coronavirus.
