Accepting the legal services’ portfolio, new Attorney General, George Savvides said that he takes on his new duties with a deep awareness of the task ahead, pledging to serve this supreme institution, safeguarding the Constitution with the view that no one is above the law.

I will work tirelessly with devotion and I will exercise my duties with integrity, ignoring any possible efforts for interventions from outside, he added.

The new Deputy Attorney General, Savvas Angelides, said that he undertakes his duties with full awareness of his responsibility with a focus on administrating justice, noting that “we have to live up to citizens’ expectations.”
