† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

ELPIDA KYRIACOU 

(from Gypsou, Famagusta) It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our mother Elpida Kyriacou, who passed away on Saturday 25th April 2020 at the age of 88. She will be greatly missed by her children Sophie and Sotiris, son in law Mario and grandchildren, Christopher, Nassia, Chloe and Maria. Our mother was born in Gypsou Cyprus in 1931, she married in June 1960 and come to London the same year. This year would have been our parents 60th wedding Anniversary. She worked hard as a sample machinist whilst raising us then also raising our grandchildren. She was a selfless woman and gave us all unconditional love and taught us the value of family and showed us humble morals that will live within us and our children. She leaves us all heartbroken, but we know she is at peace with our beloved father who passed away a few months ago. The funeral will take place on Friday 29th May 2020 at 10.00am at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2 Logan Road, London N9 0LP and the burial at New Southgate Cemetery and Crematorium, Brunswick Park Road, New Southgate, London N11 1JJ at 12.00pm. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and current restrictions only immediate family can attend the funeral. Anyone wishing to send flowers they can be delivered to Demetriou & English 131/133 Myddleton Rd, Wood Green London N22 8NG by 5pm on Thursday 28th May 2020.

Ελπίδα Κυριάκου 

(από τη Γύψου, Αμμόχωστος) Με μεγάλη θλίψη αναγγέλλουμε το θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας μητέρας Ελπίδας Κυριάκου που απεβίωσε το Σάββατο 25 Απριλίου 2020, σε ηλικία 88 ετών. Θα λείψει πολύ στα παιδιά της: Σoφία και Σωτήρη, στο γαμπρό της Μάριο, και στα εγγόνια της: Xρίστοφερ, Νάνσια, Χλόη και Μαρία. Η μητέρα μας γεννήθηκε στην Γύψου, Κύπρος το 1931, παντρεύτηκε τον Ιoύνιο του 1960 και ήρθε στο Λονδίνο. Φέτος θα ήταν η 60η επέτειος γάμου των γονιών μας. Εργάστηκε πολύ σκληρά ως μηχανικούδα, ενώ ταυτόχρονα μας μεγάλωνε και μετά ανέλαβε τα εγγόνια της. Ήταν μια γυναίκα με ανιδιοτελείς προθέσεις, που μας έδωσε όλους την αγάπη της άνευ όρων, μας δίδαξε τις αξίες της οικογένειας και ήθος, τα οποία θα μεταδώσουμε και στα παιδιά μας. Μας άφησε όλους με τσακισμένη την καρδιά, αλλά γνωρίζουμε ότι αναπαύετε εν ειρήνη,μαζί με τον αγαπημένο μας πατέρα ο οποίος απεβίωσε λίγους μήνες πριν. Η κηδεία θα γίνει την Παρασκευή 29 Μαΐου 2020 10:00μμ στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Δημητρίου, 2 Lοgan Rοad, London N9 0LP και η ταφή στο κοιμητήριο του Southgate, London N11 1JJ, 12:00μμ. Λόγω της τρέχουσας κατάστασης της πανδημίας του Κορωνοϊού, μόνο οι στενοί συγγενείς της εκλιπούσας, θα μπορέσουν να παρακολουθήσουν την νεκρώσιμο ακολουθία στο κοιμητήριο. Όποιος επιθυμεί μπορεί να στείλει λουλούδια στο Demetriou & English 131/133 Myddleton Rd, Wood Green London N22 8NG μέχρι την Πέμπτη 28 Μαΐου 2020, 5μμ.
