May he rest in peace. He was a great and learned man of science, medicine and philosophy and a fantastic character. I believe he spoke seven languages and had many letters to his name – a true example of life long learning. I remember my father taking me to both his house and surgery when I was a child and teenager and he was always full of stories, facts and anecdotes spoken with true knowledge, understanding and a great comic flair! He had the gentlest or bedside manners and served his community and the wider world of arts and science his whole life. I’ll try to pick up one of his many books of poems and plays some of which he wrote in the classic Greek dramatic style. He is irreplaceable and we will all miss him. A true Greek hero and boy from a poor Cypriot village upbringing who worked himself to great heights. Αιώνια η μνήμη

I recollect with profound joy that I met Dr Zack in 1998 at the University of North London (UNL) where we both studied Law as matured students. He came in from medical practice and me from the International PR/Broadcasting world in Nigeria and the BBC. At an instant we became friends…what a lovely COMMUNITY DOCTOR in Turnpike Lane/CROUCH END/GREEN LANE/Wood Green axis of North London. He told me that he served in Onitsha during the Nigerian Civil War, and later at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.

Acquisition of knowledge was part of his longevity formula. As we got on very very well at university and his Asylum Medical Centre practice near Turnpike Lane Bus garage and at his homestead, my young family grew to know and liked him. My children then, loved going with me to visit his family at Finchley. To him no gift was too small or too big. He gave it all out with a smile, always. A great lover of humanity, honesty and great candour. Condolences to the family. Glad I met him again at his last abode at Golders Green. Well done Georgia and the wife plus rest of the family. Adieu Zack. We will miss you sore. Good night my dear good good friend,!

I knew the gentleman very well. He used to call me his best friend. He was a person of whom was interested in learning what he did not know, inspite of the fact he himself possessing four medical degrees, and two degrees within the field of philosophy. I dearly miss him, and wish his family, children and grandkids well.
