A total of 3,000 tests have been completed until today across Cyprus in nurseries, primary schools, high schools, lyceums and technical schools, while the latest data show that there is no new confirmed COVID-19 case has been reported, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth has said on Wednesday.

In a press release the Ministry says that mobile units are testing teachers, other staff, and students in schools for COVID-19 in the context of a relevant decision by the Cabinet.

“To date about 3,000 tests have been completed across Cyprus in nurseries, primary schools, high schools, lyceums and technical schools, while according to the latest results no new case has been found in schools,” the press release adds.

The testing will continue until a total of 20,000 tests have been completed, the press release concludes.
