A shop owner was fined by the Police for opening after 10pm violating the COVID-19  restrictions. Two citizens were also probed for home gatherings while another shop owner was fined for not having the appropriate signs as the decree outlines.

The police checked a total of 948 premises and six charges were made, four in Limassol, one in Nicosia and one in Larnaka, in the last 12 hours.  One shop owner was charged for operating after 10pm, another one for not having the required signs and home owners for gatherings. In one house police found 3 visitors and  in a second one two.

The police also  checked 4.079 pedestrians and drivers and 74 charges were made, 15 in Nicosia, 24 in Limasol, 12 in Larnaka, 10  in Pafos and 8 in Famagusta. The Nicosia Traffic department also charged 5 citizens.
