Happy birthday to Yiannos Nicholas who celebrated his 93rd birthday on Thursday 7th May 2020.

Yiannos born in Komi Kebir.He came to England in the late 1940’s, along with his siblings Yiakoumis, Nitsa, Andrica, Antonis Fanos, and Elias, they founded the bridal and cocktail wear manufacturing company House of Nicholas, also known by the name of  Nicholas Brothers. The company became well known all over the world for their products and in the late 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, gave employment to thousands of Cypriots coming to England for a new future.

Yiannos is residing in Autumn Gardens care home and celebrated his birthday there. Due to the covid19 pandemic no visitors were allowed but his children and grandchildren had the opportunity to sing happy birthday through facetime.
