A beautiful melodic collaboration is released this spring courtesy of the band Rebeletiko featuring Areti Ketime with the song “Proto Fillo”. It is one of ten new songs Rebeletiko intends to release in October. The musicians of Rebeletiko include: Tasos Giannousis (baglamas) Kostas Yaxoglou (electric piano), Apostolis Bournias (percussion), Dimitris Katsivelos (trumpet), Christos Konstandinidis (drums), Panos Dimitrakopoulos (cannon), Fokas Mourtzakis (lyra), Stergios Mitrousis (double bass), and Tasos Georgopoulos (lavta) who also composed the music and lyrics.

Rebeletiko is known for collaborating with many Greek and foreign musicians promoting neo-traditional and neo-popular musical idioms. Areti Ketime, a professional singer since the tender age of 15 and a santoor player (a student of Aristides Mosch), has made a name for herself singing traditional Greek songs of various music genres. She also featured on the beautiful, timeless ballad “Ama Den Se Do” with Giorgos Alkaios.
