The protocol will be followed after four COVID-19 cases at schools were announced on Saturday.

The Education Ministry said that the cases were found in schools in Aradippou, Larnaka district, in Pafos and in Nicosia. Aradippou and Pafos have been described as COVID-19 clusters in Cyprus. Two students were tested positive at an Aradippou High School, one kindergarten staff in Pafos was also tested positive while the fourth case concerns a cleaning personnel at a High School in Nicosia district.
 
The Health Ministry will disinfect all the premises and the protocol will be followed thoroughly , the Education Mininstry announced, pointing out that the two schools (in Aradippou and Nicosia) will reopen when the disinfection is  completed. According to the Ministry, the school testing will be enhanced in the following days and will include more students. Particularly, in Aradippou, it was decided that all students of all schools (primary, high schools and technical schools) will be tested.
