Joseph Panayiotou
(from Nikoklia, Paphos)

Passed away on Friday 10 April 2020 at the age of 69. He was born on 7 November 1950, arrived in the UK in 1975 and married Eleni in 1976.
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected loss (not Covid-19 related) of a beloved husband and father.
We love you so very dearly, our hearts are broken and ache with pain, to think and know you are no longer here with us. If we could write a story it would be the greatest one ever told of what an amazing, kind, loving husband and father you were with a heart of gold.
You were always so highly spoken of amongst all your close family and friends of what a great person you were.
We hold you forever close within our hearts and we will never let you go.
You shall always remain with us throughout our lives, your memory will never fade.
Thank you for truly being such a great husband, the greatest father and an amazing grandfather that anyone could ever have wished for and for being who you were, you were and will continue to be our greatest inspiration.
We love you dad so very much and we will miss you so dearly.
May you rest in peace.
Forever in our hearts always, your wife Eleni and children Penny & Lefteris, Neo & Eleanor, Kyri & Marina and Demetrios & Litsa and your 11 grandchildren that you loved so very much xxx

Tribute to a good friend

I have known Joseph for approximately 40 years, from back in the 80s when we both had our own dressmaking factories. He was a great family friend and it was with great sadness and disbelief that I heard the tragic news of his death.
What can I say about Joseph? First and foremost, he was a wonderful family man with principles and values, who together with his wife, gave the best upbringing to their four children. He was a very hard-working individual who was endlessly doing his utmost to be a good father and a provider.
A placid, low key, well respected person, who always had a smile on his face – a true gentleman. I am privileged to have known him and call him my friend.
Rest in piece my good friend, God bless your soul.
