The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Cyprus discussed on Friday developments regarding the spread of coronavirus and exchanged opinions on tax cooperation, a press release issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry says.

On April 3, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides at the Cypriot side’s initiative, it is noted.

“The foreign ministers discussed the developments in both countries due to the spread of the coronavirus infection.They exchanged opinions on topical issues of bilateral relations, including tax cooperation, given the decisions of the President of Russia on maintaining a proper level of taxation on all types of offshore income,” the press release concludes.
