Liverpool have reportedly joined the hunt for playmaker Musa Al-Taamari, who has been the subject of interest from scouts across Europe this season

The 22-year-old currently plays for Cypriot champions APOEL and has been dubbed the ‘Jordanian Messi’, with the winger destined for a big-money move this summer, according to Bleacher Report.

Serie A duo Cagliari and Fiorentina were the first to show an interest in the player, but Al-Tamari’s form has now seen the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta step up.

Al-Taamari has been playing in Europe for two seasons, having joined APOEL in May 2018,  and was crowned the Cypriot First Division’s MVP in his first season.

His exciting playing style has seen him clock up three goals and add nine assists in 32 appearances this season, while he has also scored seven goals in 32 games for Jordan.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is known to be looking for attacking reinforcements, with the Reds linked with the likes of Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho over the last few months.

And it would appear that Al-Taamari could be a cut-price option, should Liverpool not land any of their top targets.
