Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and his close aides have tested negative to COVID-19, Government Spokesman Kyriacos Koushos has told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).

“All of us who have been tested on Tuesday were found negative to the virus,” Koushos said. Samples for COVID-19 tests were taken on Tuesday from the President, his aides, members of the Presidential Palace staff and members of the Presidential Guard who come in close contact with the President. As Koushos said, they were informed late on Tuesday evening that the results were negative.

The Spokesman also said that on Thursday samples will also be taken from the other members of the Presidential Guard and staff for COVID-19 tests.
