The biggest shock of the season probably the decade in Cyprus football when top of the table Anorthosis lost to second from bottom Ethnikos Achnas 5-0 but still remain at the top of the league on 43 points whereas Ethnikos Achnas on 20 points rise to third from bottom. Ethnikos Achna goals came from Khudonyak in the 28th minute with a penalty and two more goals came from Ibrahim, and Elia in the 41st and 44th minute respectively going into the break 3-0 up. and adding two more goals in the second half through Elia and Kostovski.

Omonia are keeping up the pressure with Anorthosis losing and the Greens winning only one point now separates the two and it looks like its becoming a two horse race for the league title. Omonia beat Enosis Neon Paralimniou 3-0 beginning with a 6th minute goal from their English striker Matt Derbyshire.but then had to wait till the 82nd minute to score their second through Kousoulos and a last minute goal through Loizos.

Third placed Last years champions Apoel are not having a good season by their own standards losing 2-0 away to Pafos whose two goals came from Valakari 58th minute penalty who also scored a second in the 6th minute leaving Apoel five points behind league leaders Anorthosis.

Fourth placed Apollon beat Doxa 3-2 with four goals coming in the first half Benschop 2 and Papoulis scoring for Apollon and Papaphotis scoring both Doxa goals. AEK drew 0-0 in the Larnaca derby versus Nea Salamina. AEL were leading 1-0 versus Olympiakos with an 8th minute goal from Godal and Zachariou equalised for Olympiakos.
