Apoel 6 Cinar 2
Pantel 1 Armenians 2
Akanthou 2 Panathinaikos 3

Olympia must be kicking themselves after losing to a well, organised Komi Kebir. Olympia started the weekend in Second place and looked favourites to win the game but Komi Kebir would not have it and really played well and keeping pace with Olympia. The second half Olympia really pushed for the winner and had many clear opportunities to score but Komi were continually dangerous on the counter attack and were awarded a penalty which Komi’s Anthony Georgiou stepped up to take his penalty which was saved and lucky for him the rebound fell at his feet and was able to smash it back into the back of the net.

The Armenians continue their winning form by beating Pantel 2-1 beating them two weeks on the trot. New signing Andrew Symeou scored with his first touch on his debut. Ben Anderson scored the winner in the second half Pantel scored through George Spyrou.

Akanthou gave Panathinaikos a fright by just been narrowly being defeated by Panathinaikos, A scrappy game for both teams on a muddy pitch today as Akanthou host PAO on grass and 5 mins in to the game the heavy rain and wind turned up to join also. It was PAO who used this time to their advantage and literally had the winds at their backs to give themselves a 2-0 lead by 15min mark. Once the weather calmed down Akanthou got in to the game and was rewarded on the 35min with a well worked piece of play form back to front for Alexi Chrysanthou to head home. HT 1-2. Akanthou starting much brighter was caught out of position when a loose pass was ponuced on by the PAO winger who deliver to the advancing striker to place home on 55min. By this stage whoever picked up possession was going on the attack and chances were on for both teams until the 75min when 2 PAO player were sin binned. Akanthou now in control created opportunities and PAO set up to counter led for an exciting end to the game with Akanthou converting a Theo Shoukri penalty on 85mins. FT 2-3.

Apoel lift themselves into second place after beating Cinar 6-2 but it was no easy game Apoel were 2-0 up within 30 minutes through Michael Spencer and Demetris Frangeskides but Cinar managed to reduce the score to 2-2 with goals from Cullen French and Yannick Kamanna in the next five minutes but the second half Cinar dropped their guard and allowed Apoel to take control and went onto score another four goals through George Lutaaya and a hat trick from Kyriacos Kyriacou.

We also like to offer our condolences to the family and friends of the Cinar former Chairman Yacup Huseyin (photo below) who sadly. passed away on Sunday.
