All the top teams in Cyprus got back to gaining points  after last week’s scenario where they all lost to the underdogs so this week was a recovery weekend,

Anorthosis extended their lead at the top of the table to four points after beating Nea Salamina 3-2  home  in the Famagusta derby that is always sadly to say held in Larnaca

Anorthosis scored early in the seventh minute thanks to Yehven Selin’s goal, but only for Nea Salamis’ Kingsley Onuegbu to equalise one minute later.

Onuegbu scored again just before the end of the first half, after Anorthosis regained their lead through Giorgos Galitsios in the 25th minute but a late goal from Michal Duris scored for Anorthosis to Give them a 3-2 win.

Omonia wasted the chance to keep close to the league leaders Anorthosis by only drawing 1-1 with AEL but it was a hard trek for them to recover from a AEL goal scored by
Andrija Majdevac in the 18th minute but  Omonia drew level in the 41st minute through Eric Bautheac.

Apoel with their new manager Marcos Ouzonides  in charge for the first time moved up to third place in the table after a 4-1 win against Apollon with Apoel taking the lead in the 31st minute with Di Vicente and Sanchetti equalising for Apollon but then what happened in added time is unbelievable Apoel score three goals through Al Taamari twice and Hallenius to give them an amazing 4-1 win.

AEK beat Doxa away from home with their goal coming from the League top goalscorer Ivan Trachovski.

In a relegation battle Pafos held Paralimni to a 1-1 draw with the home team Paralimni scoring first in the 20th minute through Theodorou and Pafos equalising straight after in the 21st minute . In Friday’s game Olympiakos beat Ethnikos Achnas 1-0 with the only goal coming from NKwoh in the first half.

Standings: Anorthosis 43, Omonia 39, Apoel 38, Apollon 32, AEK 31, AEL 27, Nea Salamina 24, Pafos 24, Olympiakos 23, Paralimni 19, Ethnikos Achna 17 and Doxa 11.
