Its the big game this Saturday the El Clasico St Panteleimon v New Salamis both in top positions St Panteleimon first and New Salamis second in the Spartan South Midlands League Division one. In a division where the four top clubs of the Spartan South Midlands League division one will be promoted to step 5 in the football League structure so its going to be an exciting few months 6th Stotford FC who have won their last 8 games in a row and 644 people saw their 5-3 victory over fourth placed Shefford Campton who opened their New Roker Park stadium on Saturday.

The game will be taking place this Saturday at 3.00pm Rectory Park, Northolt UB5 6AU it will be the first time the two clubs will be playing each other in the league they played earlier in the year in a league cup tie with the game ending 1-1 and going into extra time and penalties and St Panteleimon won.

Last Saturday the Saints were made to earn every one of the 3 away points on offer by a very determined and well organised Amersham Town winning 2-0 with a breakthrough that came late into the first half, Massey with a terrific assist with a pin point cross that was met by the impressive Nico Campbell who thundered home his header into the top corner. Amersham came out very strongly at the start of the second half and following a good spell of pressure forced a corner on 55 minutes. The resulting corner kick saw the ball curl inwards and find the top corner giving Donald Manaj no chance making it 1-1. On 80 minutes the impressive Aristotelli made a terrific run into the oppositions box and was found beautifully with a fantastic cross by Ahmed Doukhi. Aristotelli, from an acute angle, fired home an unstoppable half volley.

New Salamis started the day in third place and beat second placed Winslow away from home two nil to switch places to go second and Winslow to go third both teams are now level on points but the reds have a superior goal average. The goals came from Charlie Georgiou and his brother Harrison to give New Salamis three vital points and keep them in the chase for the championship and promotion and thenext step in the league .
