London Colney v AEK U11. After a two week hiatus due to the poor weather, AEK were rusty and found it difficult to get into their stride in what were very wet and windy conditions for both teams. With London Colney landing a knockout punch, AEK battled hard to get into the game in what was a disappointing day.
MOM Rocco- terrific attitude, never stopped running and competed well.

Following a two week break due to stormy weather conditions, we managed to get this match to go ahead after a late change to the away venue on a pitch which had a surprisingly good surface. Unfortunately, we started the game very slowly which resulted in a quick goal being conceded to non-existing marking from an early cross into the box. This somehow stimulated our players into getting their game play heads on and we started to consistently pressure their defence, which eventually led to a well deserved goal before half time. We started the second period as we left off and created a number of solid chances before getting a second by way of a header from a great corner delivery. Despite having a large percentage of possession, we gave away a cheap wind assisted free kick goal. This provided the opposition with more impetus and they scored again shortly afterwards to equalise. Although we continued to fashion a number of clear cut chances which seemed easier to score than miss, we went further behind to sucker punch goals just before the end. Scorers: Ryan Gazey and Louie Rodman. MOM: Will McDermott.
