Goals galore and excitement all round in the KOPA League starting from Whittington Park where Panathinaikos caught Olympia napping in the first half with Panathinaikos leading 2-0 the first goal an Olympia defence slip up allowed Panathinaikos striker Kyri Portou to nip behind them and place the ball past the oncoming keeper into the back of the net and then 15 minutes later a cracking goal from Andreas Yiasoumi from outside the box gave Panathinaikos a 2-0 lead which they held until the break.Olympia woke up and attacked the opposition defence whose goalkeeper Anthony Ioannou kept them at bay. The second half Olympia brought on striker Adem Ali to give them added bite and were back level but again Panathinaikos took the lead again through Kyri Portou but Olympia seem to rise to the challenge and scored another three goals to come out 5-3 victors. Olympia’s goals came from Adem Ali, Ricky, Guiliano, Peter and Dimi.

Omonia still league leaders at the start of year 2020 after beating Pantel 3-1 they led 3-0 before Pantel scored a late goal through Chris Spyrou. Omonia’s goals came from Leon Theophanous 2 and Luke Prokopiou. This leaves Omonia leading the table with 25 points followed by Apoel 22, Olympia 21, Panathinaikos 16, Komi Kebir 13, Akanthou 8, Cinar 4, Pantel 4 and Armenians 3.

Another exciting game was in Enfield where Apoel entertained Komi Kebir in a seven goal thriller Apoel took the lead in thew 16th minute with a goal from Demetrios Frangeskides Komi Kebir equalised from a corner through George Demosthenous in the 24th minute then with Apoel regaining the lead with Luke Lane goal for Apoel to go into the break 2-1 up.It wasn’t long after the break that Apoel increased their lead to 3-1 with a goal from Alex Roussis and George Lutaaya added a fourth in the 60th minute and the game was for Apoel to come through victors but Komi continued to battle and made it 4-2 through a well taken penalty from Anthony Georgia and with two minutes to go Komi added a third again through Antony Georgia but Apoel held out to win 4-3.
